Investment Aid Tax Credits 2014 – 2020 are intended to sustain the regional industrial and economic development of Malta. The Investment Aid is calculated as a percentage of qualifying expenditure incurred may take the form of tax credits and/or cash grants. These incentive instrument is active until 31st December 2020.

Investment Aid Tax Credits is awarded to SMEs in respect to 'initial investment' meaning an investment in tangible and intangible assets resulting in:

Loan Guarantees facilitate access to finance to assist enterprises in the acquisition of capital assets that will lead to a more effective and efficient production and supply of service/s.  The programme is run by MALTA ENTERPRISE CORPORATION.

The main objective of this incentive is to support new investment projects undertaken by enterprises engaged in manufacturing.

Eurostars is a joint programme between EUREKA and the European Commission that supports international innovative projects led by research and development- performing SMEs. It's co-funded from the national budgets of 36 Eurostars participating states and partner countries and by the European Union through Horizon 2020. In 2014-2020, it has a total public budget of €1.14 billion.

Slovenian Environmental Public Fund's (Eco Fund) main purpose is to promote development in the field of environmental protection. It is the only specialised institution in Slovenia that provides financial supports for environmental projects.

The financial assistance is offered primarily in the form of soft loans from revolving funds and since 2008 also through grants. In comparison with commercial banks, Eco Fund provides soft loans at more favourable interest rates and is able to lend for significantly longer period.

The Circular Economy Project Management System (XP X30-901, Requirements and Guidelines) is a voluntary standard developed by the French Standardaisation Association (AFNOR) that helps companies grasp the circular economy topic and implement projects that cover its many dimensions. The document proposes a grid or matrix laying out a common understanding of terms, principles and practices that all of the actors agree on.

BUILD UP Skills

BUILD UP Skills is a strategic initiative which started under the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme, and still continues to boost further education and training of craftsmen and other on-site construction workers and systems installers in the building sector.

Its aim is to increase the number of qualified workers across Europe to deliver building renovations which offer high-energy performance as well as new, nearly zero-energy buildings. The initiative addresses skills in relation to energy efficiency and renewable energy systems and measures in buildings.
